Eggs in a hole

Super easy, delicious weekday breakfast!
Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1 piece of bread (any type, we use whole wheat)
  • 1Tbsp butter
  • salt
  • pepper
Instructions
  1. Heat pan to medium-high heat
  2. put butter into pan to melt
  3. Cut hole in center of bread (round or square, it doesn’t matter!). set bread into pan (both pieces)
  4. crack egg into hole of bread
  5. break yolk if you don’t like runny eggs, sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired
  6. After about 1 minute, flip bread with egg and cut out piece
  7. continue cooking for additional minute
